2017 Summer Inauguration [AKA Memorial Day]

Dear Reader, Memorial Day was  pure summer bliss! I ended up not having to work either which I wasn't expecting. Keaton and Lillian and Paxton slept over Sunday night, and I woke up around 9 that morning and went on a run for the first time in a while and it was such a beautiful morning and was such a perfect summery start to what is in my opinion the first real day of summer! When I came home, we all got ready to go to Ashton and Chris' pool at Olde Liberty [and let me tell you, for summer inauguration it's a process. The first swim means the first shave after winter😉 Lol jk I totally shave in the winter but still, lots of prep] and I put on my brand spankin' new purple bathing suit and off we all went! Watching Space Jam--Paxton's all-time favorite movie--before the pool  We spent most of the day at the pool, with the little boys [except for Seeley] in these new things I've never seen before called puddle jumpers, which are like life jackets

The End of a Great Love Affair

Dear Reader, The greatest love of my life has become lost to me today. In fact, just thirty minutes ago. I am never. Never. Never. NEVER EVER EVER EVERRRRRRR living in North Carolina! EVER! I am not even being silly. This is all in dead and complete seriousness, because I almost WAS DEAD. And then, because Willie is the biggest pain in the butt known to man when he goes on a walk, I took him back home halfway so I could just listen to my music [current obsession: Styx] and finish my walk peacefully. Ugh, tender mercy number one. *shiver* So I started my second go round of the neighborhood, and it's getting pretty dark but

Sincerely, the Reluctant Millennial

Dear Reader, My name is Addy and I am a reluctant millennial. Not that that's the most important thing to know about me, but it does explain the reason for the existence of this blog. I looooooove love love love looooveeeeee paper, and letters, and real, hardcover (or even just straight up paperback) books that you can smell and dog-ear and fan the pages of and I keep almost every movie ticket stub and brochures from festivals and truly every letter and card that has ever been written to me. I love [well, the idea of, since I've really only made the time to do it once] pasting tangible evidence of memories into a scrapbook filled with pretty paper. Throughout all of high school, I even pressed [in all of my big, fat, hardcover books of course] all of the flowers I ever received from dates and dances and recitals and kept them up until the day I left for college when I  finally just threw them away. But, more than anything , I, for some reason, was incredibly anal in my op
